WhizQuiz© Version 2 supports multiple authors, each with his or her own set of quizzes. Authors use their WhizQuiz© usernames and passwords to log in to their WhizQuiz© Author Administration Area. WhizQuiz© usernames and passwords are assigned by the WhizQuiz© Administrator. Authors can change their password from their WhizQuiz© Author Administration Area (see Figure 2.1 below).
The URL for quiz authors to log into their WhizQuiz© Author Administration Area is of the form:

WhizQuiz© authors have access to their own WhizQuiz© Author Administration Area (Fig. 2.1) as well as a Quiz Administration Area for each quiz (Fig. 2.3).
From the Author Administration Area, an author can designate what quizzes to administer, can upload a new quiz, update an existing quiz, change his WhizQuiz© password, or migrate Version 1 quizzes to Version 2. New quizzes are quizzes with titles that are not currently uploaded or installed in WhizQuiz. This means that it is either a quiz that has never been uploaded/installed or that has discarded/deleted. An existing quiz is a quiz that is currently uploaded or installed. A newer version of a quiz with the same title can be sent to WhizQuiz© by updating the existing quiz then installing that updated version.
To install a new quiz, select the "Upload New File" option, then click the "Browse" button. A window will appear to allow you to select which file to upload. Select the file and click the "Open" button. The window should close and the name of the file should appear in the box next to the "Browse" button. Now click the "Submit" button. WhizQuiz will now give you the option to install, discard, or preview the uploaded quiz (Fig. 2.2). Previewed quizzes will display all of the questions in the quiz file. At the bottom of the Preview Screen are also buttons to install or discard the uploaded quiz. Select "Install" if the quiz is correct. Select "Discard" if you need to make changes, then edit the quiz file and upload it again.
To update an existing quiz, select the "Update Existing Quiz" option, then click the "Browse" button. Now follow the same process as for uploading a new file.

When an author attempts to install a quiz, WhizQuiz© responds with an E-mail containing feedback about the installation (see section below for details). If the installation was successful, WhizQuiz© returns the author to the Author Administration Area screen (may need to reload the page). The author can then chose to goto the Quiz Administration Area (Fig. 2.3) for the newly installed quiz.
From the Quiz Administration Area (Fig. 2.3), the author can view the quiz log, mail the log file to the author, change the logging threshold, display and copy the quiz source file, or delete the quiz. This is also the screen from which the author can upload a class roll file for the quiz (see Section 8). To upload a roll file, create it with a text editor, select that option then click the "Browse" button. A window will appear to allow you to select which file to upload. Select the file and click the "Open" button. The window should close and the name of the file should appear in the box next to the "Browse" button. Now click the "Submit" button. If your class roll changes, make the changes to the class roll fileon your computer and then upload the new file to the WhizQuiz server.
To migrate a Version 1 quiz to a Version 2 quiz, you must know the quiz name of the Version 1 quiz. Enter the name of the Version 1 quiz into the space provided at the bottom of your Author Administration Area, then click the "Migrate" button (see Fig 2.1).
When an author attempts to install a quiz, WhizQuiz© returns feedback (Fig. 2.4) regarding the attempt through E-mail sent to the author's address. The E-mail can be one of 3 types:
