Given the record of movies and TV of misusing or ignoring the basic
principles of physics, I would call that a very safe bet. But hasn't it been
said that one should never let the facts get in the way of a good story?

I see the steampunk version of THE THREE MUSKETEERS opens Friday. Might be
fun, even if it's a hoot. I'm curious as to how they'l explain airships in
the 17th Century. One thing I bet they WON'T try to explain is why there
isn't any recoil when cannons are fired from those airships, or why it
doesn't occur to anybody (from a trailer I saw months ago) to fire them at the
gas bags.
