Hi, All

I am searching for a "postmodern" novel for a fall 2011 course. I have
looked at dozens ... hundreds ... of authors and their representative works.
Very few appeal to me. I used Gibson's Neuromancer the last time I taught
this course. I do not want to use it again. Angela Carter's works look
interesting, particularly The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories. Internet
googling classifies Carter's works as "postmodern," "magical realism," and
feminist.

Is The Bloody Chamber sufficiently "postmodern" to use as an example of
postmodernism? ("postmodern fairy tales" -- yes, but what about other
postmodern characteristics?)
