[SFRA-L] Question for the Hive Mind

Just to put my two cents in.
 
The first SF that I recall having read was Heinlein's Space Cadet when I  
was 9.  But there was the possibility  of having read some totally  
forgettable work of SF aimed at kids even earlier.
