Interesting, Bob. Hermes is tricky. He's an upstart, a thief and a liar, raised from the cradle of a cave for his eloquence to errand boy. Lewis Hyde is a good source for this. So the story goes, among other things, Apollonian slaughter fundamentally changes with the appearance of its younger half-brother. I spent a year looking into it and would be happy to forward off-list the one extended waste of anyone's time I managed to produce from it.
