There can be good and bad poems on prayer, just as there can be good and
bad poems on pepto bismol and swine flu.  As a gesture indicating my
lack of malice towards poems on prayer, I offer a great poem on prayer:
Hopkins' "Candle Indoors".  There are many good and great poems on
prayer.  I chose that one precisely because it's so well known.
