And you have. It appears to me we are largely in agreement, right down
to the understanding that sometimes there is an inexplicable aspect of
affection, which can turn out in the long run to be in accord with
others or not, and that sometimes the difficulty can be worth it and
and a characteristic of an important poem and sometimes not.

It just seemed to me a clarification was called for if you attributed
the snippet you quoted from me as being *your* position.
