Yikes!!  I've just read Bunting's "Villon", published in Poetry in 1930 ...

Unnerving.  I didn't think it would have been possible to overlay the early Cantos onto snibbits from "The Testament", but there you are.

I have to say, this confirms my reluctance to take Bunting at all seriously.
