I had a student who loved that shitty book of Jewel's some years back. She  
got upset when I told her she was already a better poet than Jewel. 
 
To go old school let's not forget John Lennon and Donovan way back in the  
day. And the lead singer for System of a Down, whatever his name is (another 
bit  of knowledge passed on by a student).
