Gah, stop me.  It's after ten!  Anny, that was awesome.

On the subject of spurring poems:  I've used Tarot cards-- I think this is
pretty common, actually. (I used to read tarot cards as way to make money.
You want to spur something? Try reading tarot cards all day long, non-stop.)
I also love randomizing devices and automatic writing.  But usually I use it
as a kind of kindling to get my mind going and to shake things up.  When I m
done, the stuff I started it off with is usually burned off.
