I read the entire essay now. I think that you (all of you, not only Bob) are
taking it too personally. She tried to put together a mass anthology,
something that could work for people who never read poetry. It is true that
she thunders, and says that in the past 40 years there isn't one decent
poem, but that is part of the delirium of people when they think they are
assembling something that goes beyond their own strengths.
It was a good read, even if excessively long, and there were some good poems
to be tasted. She did do some homework...
