The Cinema Speaks: words, voice and language


SERCIA, a group of European scholars working on American and British cinema,
will hold its next annual conference at the University of Paris X—Nanterre
from 17 to 19 September 2009. The theme of the conference is 'The Cinema
Speaks: words, voice and language.' For enquiries, a more detailed 'call for
papers' or to submit a proposal, please contact Dominique Sipière (
sipiere at wanadoo.fr) and Melvyn Stokes (melvynstokes at hotmail.com). The
closing date for paper proposals is 12 January 2009.
