That there is a conference dedicated to the aphorism is delightful,
second only to the fact that people purposefully set out to write
them. I've long been a collector of aphorisms... I never really
considered the possibility that people would sit down and purposefully
create them. That takes one kind of romance out of them but puts a
whole different kind in its place.
