With respect (and a friendly demeanor) this list certainly does have an agenda: it is 100 North American poets you should know, and, further, North American poets who have emerged from the late 1950's at the earliest.

At a quick look through it does seem to have a certain inclusiveness within those boundaries, but I can imagine still howls of excluded pique from some wings of US poetry still. I have to, though, gently tut at your lovely nation's brand of insularity in leaving out the rest of the English speaking world (I noticed the British Tom Raworth slipped into one list of alternative's but I guess he's considered honorary North American)
