[Anny Ballardini]

This morning I received a message from Ben Mazer telling me that Landis Everson has committed suicide in Mill valley. "He shot himself in the head with his WWII pistol when he went for a walk on Saturday."
Ben also added that Landis had a series of strokes which made it impossible for him to write poetry.

I had a very nice correspondence with Landis, he was such a cheerful and open friend online. Then we lost got lost (what a slip of the fingers...) and Ben some time ago upon my inquiry, said he was having health problems.
