Not bad, David. Here's another--

What Your Doctor Knows

Knowledge you often hate on first hearing,
coming to love as it grows into you. Perfect
anecdotes in spite of all your tense
accusations, while, despite the wallflowers

gang-banging the geraniums, a wild kitten
careens in your heart, love by second sight.
The greater the yearning, the greater
the grief. Impractical accident, with a difference.
