Poetry HAS been exterminated in all but a few select areas of society.? Classrooms ARE mostly poet-free, as are libraries and bookstores.? Last time I checked, independent bookstores were extinct too, and the big chains offer?up a mere sliver of a shelf for?poetry. . .
