Slightly off the 'difficult poetry' topic...
Anny when you say "his translation of the Comedy", you mean of
_Inferno_, right? He hasn't translated _Purgatorio_ or _Paradiso_
far as I know, but I've been out of the US for a while now. If he
did translate the others I'd be interested... his rhyme scheme in the
first helped me in my book _Ester_.
