"John Snow, the great English fast bowler, was also partially deaf
(don't know which ear).  He wrote poetry, too."

"Yes, Snow did write poetry, but I seem to remember they were very much
in nineteenth century style Thomas Hood-like rhythms. "

"And Yeats was tone-deaf."

Hypothesis: Pound was to Yeats as Ken Higgs was to John Snow.
