[New-Poetry] Jim's "Election Year" and Poetry as Political Act

I like Jim's "Election Year" poem (simply for the sentiments expressed), but I'd 
love for you, Jim, to expand on this statement:  "I'd go farther than that...To 
write a poem, in contemporary society, is a political act."  Why?  Just exactly 
how is that?  Do you mean by virtue that you are expressing "anti-politician / 
political climate" sentiments?  What excatly is it about the "contemporary 
society," and what exactly is a "political act" (as these function in your 
statement)?  I'd love for you to expand on your statement.  Would you go into 
a little greater detail, please. . . ?
