Despite persistent rumors to the contrary,
we are fit and healthy, those of us gathering at the monument
to our unknown leader, he whose face was familiar to all
of us who did not know it, who remembered little
if anything about him. Seemingly, our displays
of loyalty have displeased him, though we do not know why
they should. Our spirits are dampened by his contempt
for our abiding love for him...
